Rhasidat Adeleke shares “fan girl moment” with Rihanna at Fenty Hair launch
The American superstar looked completely in shock as she told the Olympic athlete: “Are you kidding me?! I follow you!”
Irish Olympic star Rhasidat Adeleke met with Rihanna on Tuesday at her Fenty Hair event in London, discovering that the nine-time Grammy winner has been following her sporting journey.
In a clip shared by the athlete on Instagram, Rihanna can be seen pulling Adeleke into a hug and shouting “Are you kidding me?! I follow you!”
The Irish sprinter was also star-struck by her meeting with the singer, writing: “Fan girl moment meeting Rihanna
“Such an inspiration and forever breaking barriers in the industry. My younger self would’ve never thought that Rihanna would be following me and my journey!”

The 22-year-old was on the guest-list for the exclusive event, and also shared a series of fashionable pictures of her own.
Adeleke finished fourth in the women’s 400m final in the Paris Olympics, narrowly missing out on a medal – but she is currently enjoying an off season, primarily training at her team’s base at the University of Texas.
Rihanna has been focusing on her makeup and skincare brand Fenty Beauty since its launch in 2017 – a business which she’s just expanded into haircare.
