Repak and Hot Press team up for College Roadshow – giving you the chance to win exciting prizes through our waste-sorting challenge
You'll find the interactive game at a campus near you over the weeks ahead – as we set off on our College Roadshow...
With a new academic year officially underway, we're thrilled to kick off the 2025 edition of the Hot Press College Roadshow! This year, we've joined forces with the team from Repak to launch a special new interactive element, offering students around the country the chance to win some epic prizes...
Repak's work is all about minimising the environmental impact of packaging – and encouraging and empowering people to recycle their waste correctly.
As part of the College Roadshow – heading to campuses around Ireland over the days and weeks ahead – we'll be helping students hone their waste-sorting skills, with a fun, hands-on game. Prove you know your General Waste from your Recycling – or indeed your Food Waste! – by taking part in our sandbag-toss challenge. You'll pick up handy recycling tips along the way, and learn about your part in the Circular Economy – while also getting the chance to win some exciting prizes...
Remember – when it comes to waste-sorting, there are three categories of materials that can go in your Recycling Bin: Paper & Cardboard; Plastics; and Metals, Tins & Foil. It's also crucial to keep your recycling 'Clean, Dry Loose' – meaning your packaging is free from food waste, dry, and placed in loose (not in bags or bin liners).
You can also swot up on your waste-sorting with the helpful list below, from repak.ie/recycling
Hot Press and Repak's waste-sorting challenge is coming soon to campuses across the country. For more information about Repak and recycling, see repak.ie/recycling
