Man City's new kit features font based on Noel Gallagher's handwriting
The Manchester music icon recently wrote out every name and number in the squad as part of the collaboration.
Lifelong Manchester City fan Noel Gallagher has collaborated with the club on their new kit – with a font inspired by his handwriting featuring on the shirts that will be worn by the team in every Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup match in the 2024/25 season.
To help design the font, the singer-songwriter wrote out every name and number in the Man City squad – with his handwriting then transferred onto the back of the shirts.

The 2024/25 home shirt also features "threads of 0161 in the trim – a reference to the area code that gives a sense of belonging to all who call Manchester home," the club explain.
In the official announcement, Man City also note that Noel would have "been in the stands at Maine Road as a child", and is now "a regular visitor to the Etihad and away matches with his family".
He was also at the Etihad Stadium last month to celebrate Man City winning their fourth consecutive Premier League title.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds released their latest album, Council Skies, in June 2023.
