Wu-Tang: An American Saga season 2 trailer sees the clan plot path to stardom
The Hulu original series will premiere on September 8th.
Hulu has dropped the exciting season 2 trailer for biographical series Wu-Tang: An American Saga.
The sneak-peak into the upcoming season features the Wu-Tang Clan members grappling with their desire for stardom and the issues they faced within their community. It will premiere on Hulu this September.
Season 1 of the series centred around the formation of the legendary hip-hop group, while the second offering focuses on the creation of their iconic debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang (36 Chambers).
The trailer opens with RZA, played by Ashton Sanders, listening to one of the album’s most-renowned samples - the introduction for ‘Da Mystery Of Chessboxin’ featuring the dialogue from Shaolin and Wu-Tang.
Season 2 of the Hulu original will also illustrate the difficulties of balancing the members' real-life commitments along with their musical dreams. It delves into the complicated group dynamic to explain the resentments that still linger between Dennis Coles, AKA GhostFace Killah (played by Siddiq Saunderson), and Sha Raider AKA Raekwon (played by Shameik Moore).
Wu-Tang: An American Saga stars Johnell Xavier Young as the GZA, TJ Atoms as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, David “Dave East” Brewster as Method Man, and Joey Bada$$ as Inspectah Deck alongside Sanders, Sauderson and Moore. The Rza, who co-created the programme along with Alex Tse, serves as an executive producer along with Method Man.
