Wham! Netflix documentary gets new trailer
The new show will cover the lives of George Michael and Andrew Ridgley, how the shot from high-school friends to international fame.
Netflix has released the first trailer for their new documentary on Wham!. The film will follow George Michael and Andrew Ridgley on their journey through the 1980s from school friends to world-famous pop stars - set for release on July 5th.
Simply titled, Wham!, the movie features unseen interviews with the pair, using footage from the two artists’ archives and charting the band’s whirlwind four-year career before Michael went solo.
The documentary will also cover George's emergence as a gay icon in the 80s. Chris Smith, the documentary filmmaker whose credits include Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened and Jim & Andy, is directing the movie.
