Squid Game Season 2 Teaser Released
Season 2 of the series will debut on December 26
Netflix has released a teaser for the anticipated second season of Squid Game, confirming Hwang Dong-hyuk's return as director of the production.
The new teaser follows the conclusion of the Season 1 finale, after Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) abandons his plans to reunite with his daughter in the U.S. in favor of a new motive.
Jung-jae appears in the trailer as a Squid Game contestant uniform, donning the same number 456, amidst a new cast of contestants.
After it's successful run on the streaming platform in 2021, Squid Game gained popularity with over 265,200,000 views on Netflix, becoming the most-viewed series on the platform.
The new trailer was revealed at Netflix's annual Geeked Week fan event and will feature returning actors Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo, from the first season of the show.
Squid Game Season 2 will debut on December 26.
