RTÉ crime drama Kin to reach wider Netflix audience
The hit crime series will make its Netflix debut in the UK and Ireland next month.
RTÉ’s hit crime drama Kin has officially been taken on by media streaming giant Netflix, set to reach a bigger audience than ever before.
The first season of the widely-acclaimed series will make its Netflix debut in the UK and Ireland on May 1.
Filled with mystery and suspense, Kin tells the fictional story of the Kinsellas, a Dublin-based family ensnared in a gangland war with an international drug cartel. With little more than the bonds of family and blood, the Kinsellas find themselves holed up in their Dublin home as family, friends and colleagues are picked off one by one.
Featuring a stellar cast of Ciarán Hinds, Clare Dunne, Emmett J. Scanlan and Charlie Cox, the series made waves after its RTÉ debut back in 2021, the second season following suit in March 2023.
Written and created by Peter McKenna and Ciarán Donnelly, Kin was produced by Headline Pictures and BRON Studios, which went bankrupt last July, delaying the release of Kin season three.
