RTÉ to air Larry Gogan's funeral live on Friday

The legendary radio host's funeral will be at 11:30am.

RTÉ has confirmed that Larry Gogan's funeral will aired live on the RTÉ News Now channel Friday at 11:30am. It will also be streamed via Facebook and Twitter.

Gogan sadly passed away Tuesday at the age of 81. The iconic 2fm broadcaster was loved for his warm personality and unwavering support of local talent. Numerous attempts to retire him inevitable failed and Gogan maintained his status as a mainstay of Irish radio for decades. Tributes immediately poured in following the news of his passing.

The funeral will take place in Church of St Pius X and he will later be buried during a private ceremony.
