PJ Harvey Documentary Set To Premiere At Berlinale 2019
A Dog Called Money will premiere in February at the Berlin International Film Festival.
A new documentary that follows the creation of The Hope Six Demolition Project, PJ Harvey’s innovative ninth solo album, will premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival in February.
A Dog Called Money is directed by Seamus Murphy, the award-winning photographer and filmmaker whose book A Darkness Visible: Afghanistan depicted a decade of change in the region.
In a statement, Murphy said he knew and trusted Harvey "enough for her to travel with me to Afghanistan and other challenging places, and for me to believe she’d bring back magic."
A Dog Called Money follows PJ Harvey’s recording of the album in London, where the public was able to observe her production process through glass over the span of a month, and will also document Harvey’s travels through Afghanistan, Kosovo and Washington D.C.
