New trailer released for Bradley Cooper's Maestro
New trailer released for upcoming Leonard Bernstein biopic
A new trailer offering a sneak peak of Netflix's upcoming Maestro, a biopic on the life and work of American Composer Leo Bernstein.
The film Maestro is set to chronicle the lifelong love story between Bernstein (Bradley Cooper) and his wife, actress and activist Felicia Montealegre Bernstein.
The second trailer for the highly anticipated Leonard Bernstein biopic Maestro has been released – ahead of the film's release in cinemas on November 22. It's then set to be released on Netflix on December 20.
The trailer description goes on to note that Maestro is a "love letter to life and art" and "at its core... an emotionally epic portrayal of family and love."
Cooper also serves as the film's director – having made his directorial debut with 2018's A Star Is Born – while the star-studded list of producers includes Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg.
The film also features an all star cast including Maya Hawke, Scott Ellis, Miriam Shor, Sarah Silverman, Sam Nivola, Matt Bomer, Josh Hamilton and Alexa Swinton.
The film came under fire earlier this year after some viewers felt that Cooper's use of a prosthetic nose to portray the great American composer was antisemitic.
The film received a seven minute standing ovation at its premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September.
