Kelis is making a Cannabis-themed cooking show for Netflix
Cooked With Cannabis will air on 4/20.
Each episode in Kelis' new, 6-episode competition show on Netflix will feature three pro chefs, tasked with creating a three-course, Cannabis-infused meal for a $10, 000 prize. The series will be co-hosted by herself and chef Leather Storrs, and feature a rotating roster of dinner guests, including Ricki Lake, Too $hort and El-P.
Taking to Instagram, the singer noted: "As a chef, I was intrigued by the food and as an everyday person, I was interested in how powerful this topic is in today's society. In this country, many things have been used systematically to oppress groups of people, but this is so culturally important for us to learn and grow together."
Last month, the singer announced the 20th anniversary re-issue of her debut album Kaleidescope. Unfortunately, the final dates of her European tour have been postponed due to COVID-19.
