Graham Norton makes comeback as BAFTA TV awards host
Dublin-born television presenter Graham Norton is set to host the BAFTA TV awards yet again this May following a two-year hosting stint by comedian Sue Perkins.
Norton, who is perhaps best known for his work on the BBC’s The Graham Norton Show, last helmed the event in 2016. The Graham Norton Show itself has picked up five BAFTA TV awards.
“It has been almost 15 years since I first hosted the Television Awards and what a pleasure it is to be returning to host once again,” Norton said of his comeback.
BBC America’s Killing Eve leads the pack this year with a whopping 14 nominations, including Best Drama Series, Best Leading Actress nomination for stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer and a Best Supporting Actress nod for Fiona Shaw. Miniseries A Very English Scandal trails close behind with twelve nominations. Other notable nominees include Channel 4’s breakthrough comedy Derry Girls in the Scripted Comedy category.
The BAFTA TV awards will be held on May 12.
