First trailer for new Liam Neeson film has dropped
Retribution will hit cinemas on August 25th.
The official trailer for Liam Neeson's upcoming action thriller Retribution has been released.
The trailer sees American businessman Matt Turner (Neeson) driving his children to school.
On the way, he receives a phone call from a mysterious voice telling him that there's a bomb under his seat, set to detonate unless he completes a specific series of tasks, and fast.
Trapped in their car in a high-speed chase across the city, Matt must follow the stranger's increasingly dangerous instructions in a race against time to protect his family and solve the mystery that plays out over the course of one day.
The film is the third remake of the 2015 Spanish film El Desconocido.
The trailer is already garnering attention online, with some commentators noting the similarities to 1994 action film Speed, starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion and Matthew Modine are also set to star in Retribution.
This film marks a reunion for Neeson and Embeth Davidtz, who worked together previously on Schindler's List.
