Eve Hewson to lead in comedy pilot Downforce
The Irish actress has been cast opposite The White Lotus’ Murray Bartlett.
Eve Hewson is set to lead the comedy pilot Downforce alongside Murray Bartlett (The White Lotus, The Last of Us), which is produced for the US streamer Hulu, Deadline reports.
According to the official logline, Dowforce tells the story of a storied racing team owner’s estranged daughter who is thrust back into the family business, leaving the pair to find common ground at the risk of destroying the team’s legacy.
Bartlett will star as Sir Trevor, described as “the team’s larger-than-life founder and owner,” while Hewson will play his daughter, Victoria, “a shrewd and ruthless investment banker who finds her way back into the front office.”
"She knows business, he knows racing, and together they have to figure out the business of racing after years apart," the synopsis adds.
Alex Berg is set to direct the pilot, as well as executive produce alongside Adam Countee.
Hewson also stars in the Netflix New England murder mystery The Perfect Couple, which premieres globally today. You can watch the trailer below:
