Glen Hansard, BIIRD, Tommy Tiernan and Joanne McNally announced for The Late Late Show St Patrick's Day Special
This week's show centres on Irish talent in honour of St Patrick's weekend.
Glen Hansard, BIIRD, Tommy Tiernan and Joanne McNally are among the guests that have been announced for this week's The Late Late Show.
Louise Cantillon, Doireann Ní Ghlacáin, and Síomha Ní Ruairc, hosts of the How to Gael podcast, will also feature in Friday's episode to discuss how the podcast has taken off, the revival of the Irish language, and the joy they find in working together.
Comedian Joanne McNally will chat to host Patrick Kielty about making history as the first Irish comedian to headline the 3Arena twice with her show, Pintophile, and will also reflect on riding the wave of success.
Oscar winner and musician Glen Hansard will look back on his career and will also perform one of his favourite Irish songs to honour St Patrick's weekend.
Hollywood actor Jonathan Rhys Meyers will open up about the loss of his home in the LA wildfires and his recent move to a farm in Co Wexford. He'll chat about how he's embracing rural life and share what's next on the horizon as he embarks on this new chapter.
Comedian Tommy Tiernan and musician Mick Flannery will chat about The House Must Win – the new musical drama written by Flannery and starring Tiernan – and share the story behind how the project came to life.
Entertainment this week comes from Cork poet and writer Daragh Fleming, who performs a specially commissioned poem about St Patrick's Day past and present, and Irish trad group Biird will take to the Late Late stage to perform with their signature sound.
Watch The Late Late Show this Friday at 9.30PM on RTÉ 1.
