Christopher Lloyd and Jaeden Martell star in live action trailer for Rick and Morty season finale
It is unclear if any full-length live action episodes or scenes will follow.
Adult Swim shared the live-action trailer for the season five finale of beloved cartoon series Rick and Morty on Friday (September 3).
The trailer features Christopher Lloyd who played Doctor Brown in Back To The Future as Rick, a character inspired by Lloyd’s portrayal of the “Doc”. It and Knives Out star Jaeden Martell plays Morty in the snippet which captures the pair arriving through a portal into a real-life replica of Rick’s garage.
The season finale aired on September 5th and was the first double-episode in the series. It arrived almost a month after the penultimate episode as it was delayed. The reason for the delay has not been confirmed.
The finale is an hour long, and follows up the previous episode which treated fans to a highly-anticipated deep-dive into Rick and Bird Person’s storyline.
