Chris O'Dowd joins cast of film about OpenAI Artificial
Artificial is from director Luca Guadagnino, who recently brought you Queer
Chris O'Dowd has joined the ensemble cast of new film about artificial intelligence company OpenAI Artificial, from director Luca Guadagnino.
The film is said to be a comedic dramatisation based on the real life events of OpenAI's CEO Sam Altman, during the turbulent period of 2023, where the company had fired him and rehired him within a few days.
The Emmy award winning actor joins the previously announced cast Andrew Garfield (who plays Altman), Yura Borisov, Monica Barbaro, Jason Schwartzman, Cooper Hoffman, Ike Barinholtz, Cooper Koch, Billie Lourd and Zosia Mamet.
Details about O'Dowd's character have yet to be released but filming is underway.
The director of the forthcoming film, Luca Guadagnino, is known for his critically acclaimed features, Challengers (2024), Call Me By Your Name (2017) and his most recent release Queer (2024). His upcoming film After the Hunt is out in Irish cinemas on October 22.
O'Dowd recently, created and starred in Sky's Small Town, Big Story as well as starring Apple TV+ series Big Door Prize. The actor was also praised for his role on Netflix's dystopian series Black Mirror, in the episode Common People.
