Chris de Burgh to appear on Rivals
The Disney+ period dramedy returns for its second season later this year.
Chris de Burgh is set to make a cameo on the television series Rivals.
The Irish singer-songwriter will perform his chart-topping 1986 slow-jam ‘Lady in Red’ in the series’s second season.
Prior to Rivals, the song has been featured in American Psycho, Working Girl, and Deadpool & Wolverine. De Burgh’s singing cameo will appear during a wedding scene.
Revisit ‘Lady in Red’ below:
Based on Dame Jilly Cooper’s 1986 novel of the same name, Rivals takes place in a fictional upper-class Cotswold town whose bourgeois inhabitants find themselves embroiled in scandal and mischief. Irish actors Victoria Smurfit and Aidan Turner feature prominently in the series. David Tennant and Alex Hassell also star.
Rivals will return to Disney+ later this year. Exact release dates for the series have yet to be announced.
