Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson to make guest apperance in The Simpsons
The show is set to celebrate its 800th episode next year.
Father-and-son duo Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson will guest-star in the upcoming 37th season of The Simpsons, appearing in the episode 'Sashes to Sashes', which airs on November 16.
The pair will voice different versions of the same character - Mayor Quimby's father, Joe Quimby Sr.
Brendan will voice the elder Quimby in his later years, with Domhnall voicing the younger version.
The episode storyline sees Bart entering a student council race against Mayor Quimby's son, as Lisa uncovers troubling secrets about The Simpsons and the Quimby's.
Season 37 of The Simpsons will also see guest appearances from Kieran Culkin, Glenn Howerton, Albert Brooks, Cola Escolar, Danny Pudi, and Adam Pally.
The show, which already holds the record for the longest-running animated TV show, looks set to continue till at least its 40th season.
20th Television president Marci Proietto called the four-season renewal "historic" and "monumental for these iconic animated series."
This season will see The Simpsons celebrate its 800th episode, which will air in 2026.
