Filming has commenced for a Donald Trump biopic where Sebastian Stan will play a young Trump in a story that follows the former US president’s journey to becoming a New York real estate tycoon.
Sebastian Stan, best known for his work in Marvel films and Pam & Tommy, is set to play Donald Trump in a new biopic. He is set to be joined by Succession’s Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn and Oscar nominee Maria Bakalova as Trump's first wife Ivana in the upcoming flick titled, The Apprentice.
Directed by Iranian film-maker Ali Abbasi the film is said to follow an exploration of power and ambition in a world of corruption and deceit.
It will tell the story of the former US president’s journey to becoming a New York real estate tycoon. It is set in the 1970s and '80s and will show his relationship with Roy Cohn – the notorious attorney who became a mentor to Trump and was later disbarred for unethical conduct.
Described as “a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of an American dynasty” and “reveals the moral and human cost of a culture defined by winners and losers,” filming for the Donald Trump biopic began this week.
