WATCH: Viola Davis In Trailer for 'Widows'

From the director of 12 Years A Slave , Widows tells the story of four women who must deal with the violent consequences after the passing of their criminal husbands.

The women embark on a heist to finish what their husbands started.

Author of Gone Girl , Gillian Flynn teamed up with Steve McQueen (director) to write the script.

The film features a stellar line-up including Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Erivo and Daniel Kaluuy.

Irish actors Liam Neeson and Colin Farrell are also starring.

This isn't the first film this year to feature an all-female ensemble in a heist situation. Oceans 8 depicted a group of women setting out to rob a diamond necklace from the Met Gala. However something tells us this film will take a much darker approach...
