WATCH: Sometimes I'm Okay With Busy Streets (Dublin) explores the city in COVID-19 lockdown
Take a look at the first video in the three-part series below.
Writer and guitarist Brian Sinnott of Irish band Ivy Nations, visual artist Tomás Daly and vocalist Laura Hogan have teamed up to share a powerful new project set against the backdrop of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis: Sometimes I'm Okay With Busy Streets (Dublin).
The video, shared today, April 24, is the first in a three-part series, kicking off in the artists' hometown.
Combining an electronica track with acoustic guitar, broken piano chords and stunning visuals of Dublin during lockdown, the piece laments the recent past, and sensitively explores the waves of emotions of lockdown – ultimately finding a sense of comfort and hope: "I'll see you on the other side."
Sometimes I'm Okay With Busy Streets (Dublin) was written, produced and mixed in Brian Sinnott's bedroom in the house he shares with his collaborators Tomás Daly and Laura Hogan in Artane, North Dublin. The footage was pulled together from various sources within the 2km radius of their home.
