Keith Cullen to publish memoir Dear Future Me

Irish artist and entrepreneur Keith Cullen is set to publish his memoir Dear Future Me on September 17.

A launch event will take place at Castletown House in Kildare.

The book follows Cullen’s journey from his early years in Ireland through his career in business and music, including time spent pursuing music in Los Angeles, international touring, recording contracts and Billboard success.

“For a long time, I was chasing the life I thought would finally make me feel successful and, ultimately, enough,” Cullen said, speaking ahead of the launch. “From the outside, a lot of the things I had dreamed about were happening, but internally something very different was going on.

“Dear Future Me came from having to really look at that distance between the person I thought I should become and the person I actually was.”

The memoir follows the “less visible side of that period in Keith’s life – the pressure, self-doubt and personal challenges that continued despite outward success,” according to an official summary.

Alongside the book, Keith has created an original fifteen-track soundscape, with one of his own songs linked to each of its chapters. Lyrics from the corresponding track introduce each chapter.

“I hope people recognise something of themselves in the book,” Cullen added. “So many of us spend years believing that the next achievement, the next opportunity or the next version of ourselves will finally make us feel enough.

“What I’ve learned is that sometimes the future we’re desperately trying to reach isn’t where we find ourselves at all. Sometimes we find ourselves by letting go of who we thought we had to become.”

Today, Cullen is the founder of The Green Room, a wellness space that offers massage, Reiki, infrared sauna and ice-bath services as well as retreats.

Dear Future Me will be available on Amazon after its launch.
