An 1880 murder case about the The Limehouse Golem, a smart and stone-cold killer.
The film is based on the 1994 Peter Ackroyd novel Dan Leno and the Limehouse Golem. It tells the story of a series of murders that shook the community to its core. As the case drags on, people start to believe it is a creature of legend, the golem, that committed these crimes. It is up to a police inspector (bill Nighy) to solve the mystery and put a face to this so-called legend.
