WATCH: First trailer for Michael Jackson’s biopic
Lifetime’s Searching For Neverland is based on the 2014 book Remember The Time: Protecting Michael Jackson In His Final Days
The film explains Michael Jackson’s story through the eyes of his bodyguards, Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard who stayed with him during the last years of his life. The makers of the movie want to show what happened the last two years as well as the devotion Michael had towards his children. The role of Michael Jackson will be played by Navi, a Jackson impersonator.

The movie is set to release May 29 on Lifetime.
