WATCH: a first look at Black Lightning

The trailer shows how Black Lightning almost died by the One Hundred Gang, so his wife makes him promise to be a father to their daughters. Now, retired superhero Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) assumes the role of the school principal and aims to change lives for the better in a non-violent way. The One Hundred Gang, however, has noticed his absence and has expanded to the point it starts affecting their family personally. With no one else to stop them, Pierce must suit up once more.

Black Lightning is set to air this Fall.
