Trump administration uses Sabrina Carpenter clip in pro-ICE video

The Trump administration has used a snippet from Sabrina Carpenter’s Saturday Night Live commercial in a social media video promoting ICE raids.
Posted by the White House’s official account, it altered the original audio of the singer's commercial, making Carpenter appear to support the U.S.'s ICE raids.
“I think I might need to arrest someone for being too illegal,” Carpenter appears to say in the edited clip. In the original, the artist threatened to arrest SNL star Marcello Hernández for being “too hot.” The White House video continues with American citizen Hernández turning himself in and holding out his hands to be cuffed, before cutting to footage of ICE officers chasing and arresting people, featuring Gucci Mane’s 2017 song 'I Get the Bag'.
“PSA: If you’re a criminal illegal, you WILL be arrested & deported," read the caption.
The news follows last week's now deleted social media video which used Carpenter‘s music without the singer’s permission.
The White House posted a video showcasing a montage of ICE aggressively tackling and handcuffing individuals and taking them into custody. Carpenter's hit song 'Juno' played as the backing audio for the clip.
"This video is evil and disgusting," wrote Carpenter on X. "Do not ever involve me or my music to benefit your inhumane agenda.”
Trump spokesperson Abigail Jackson responded saying, “Here’s a Short n’ Sweet message for Sabrina Carpenter: We won’t apologize for deporting dangerous criminal illegal murderers, rapists, and pedophiles from our country. Anyone who would defend these sick monsters must be stupid, or is it slow?”
Several other artists have accused the White House social media and Donald Trump of repeatedly using their music without consent. In October, singer Kenny Loggins called out the White House for their use of his song 'Danger Zone' on a video that depicted Trump dropping feces onto "No Kings" protestors.
“This is an unauthorized use of my performance of ‘Danger Zone’," said Loggins in a statement. "Nobody asked me for my permission, which I would have denied, and I request that my recording on this video is removed immediately."
Last month, Grammy award-winning pop singer Olivia Rodrigo condemned the use of her song 'All-American Bitch' in a clip encouraging undocumented immigrants to self-deport, posted by United States Homeland Security.
“Don’t ever use my songs to promote your racist, hateful propaganda," Rodrigo commented. Her comment was later removed after the post went viral, and the White House eventually deleted her song from the clip.
