Trailer:The Mist
The The Mist series is an adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name. The series will air on Spike June 22.
Bridgeville, a quiet American town is swallowed by a thick layer of mist. People are trapped at different places as they wait till it blows over. In any case, they start realizing something doesn’t add up. A man asked “what did you feel?” and the survivor who came out of the mist replied: “that it knew me”, a woman who was in a similar situation says: “That’s what it does … screws with your mind”.
The trailer features religious aspects, human relations under stress and above all survival instinct. In short, it seems to focus on the human aspects of things.
Unlike the 2007-movie “the Mist”, it doesn’t show any ambition integrating the real dangers of the mist. We haven’t seen any monsters and they are basically the thrill of the story, the unknown dangers lurking in the mist. However, we shouldn’t assume anything yet based on one trailer. So, let’s keep our eyes peeled for further information on this adaptation of Stephen King’s novel.
