This fortnight's Caught In The Net...
CITN looks forward to the HBO show described by its creator as “The Sopranos in Middle-earth” and other web goodies
Caught In The Net is counting down the seconds until HBO’s new medieval fantasy epic, Game Of Thrones, debuts here on Sky Atlantic, a.k.a. the best TV channel in the world… ever!
Described by creator David Benioff as “The Sopranos in Middle-earth”, a large chunk of the mega-budget show – some reports put the per episode spend at $7 million – was filmed in Belfast from where HP’s Valerie Flynn brings you an on the set report in our next issue.
There’s more Irish involvement courtesy of Aidan Gillen who plays “scheming, immoral, social-climbing conniver” Lord Peter Baelish. Sounds like CIN’s kind of guy!

Switching to rock ‘n’ roll, Two Door Cinema Club are among the 25 acts who’ve been chosen to appear in the online accompaniment to Playboy’s April Rock The Rabbit special issue.
The Choice Music Prize-winners feature alongside such new and established notables as House Of Pain, James Blunt, Jesse Malin, Lemmy, Matt Sorum, Angela McCluskey, Steve Jones and Mifflintown, Pa. garage band heroes The Click Clack Boom who were mightily impressive last month at SXSW.
As part of their involvement, the three Two Doors have designed their own starry-eyed bunny t-shirt that costs $29.99, can be ordered from www.rocktherabbit.com and will have part of its proceeds donated to the Music Unites education programme.
All very commendable, but how comes we don’t get to see the chaps sans kit or cavorting with any of Hugh Hefner’s silicone-enhanced lovelies, eh?
