RTÉ Radio 1 ARENA will host Clannad special before their farewell tour
The Irish folk group's farewell tour will last 18 months.
Next Tuesday (25th February) RTÉ Radio 1's ARENA will host a special live broadcast in honour of traditional Irish folk band, Clannad.
The hour-long radio broadcast will take place from 7-8pm and will also be streamed through the RTÉ website. There will be an intimate audience in attendance in the iconic RTÉ radio centre orchestral studio, Studio 1.
Clannad was formed in 1970 by Donegal-born siblings Ciarán, Pól, and Máire Brennan alongside their uncles Noel and Pádraig Duggan. They will be joined by a selection of friends and collaborators for the one-off ARENA special.
The broadcast will be held four days before the first date on Clannad's farewell world tour, which begins in Belfast on Saturday, 29th February. Sean Rocks will present, and an invited audience of ARENA listeners will attend the Studio 1 gallery to wish the folk giants well on their 18 month farewell tour.
