Record Store Day 2026 date revealed
2026 marks the 19th edition of RSD.
Record Store Day will take place on April 18, celebrating independent record shops across the world.
Ambassadors for RSD 2025 included Sam Fender and Post Malone, with Oasis, Taylor Swift, and Charlie XCX, taking part in the past. A range of Irish artists released special records for RSD 2025, including Thin Lizzy, Dolores O'Riordan, The Boomtown Rats, and Rory Gallagher.
Now in its 19th year, over 280 UK record shops and thousands international retailers will participate in the event, accompanied by a collection of more special edition album releases planned for RSD 2026. Organisers will announce this year's ambassador in the upcoming months.
Among the Irish stores taking part this year are Tower Records, Golden Discs, and Freebird Records.
This year's RSD is organised in collaboration with charity War Child, supporting children affected by conflict.
