P.T. Demo - Tech Review
Silence is golden
Two months from Halloween and a digital banshee has crept up on PS4 owners. P.T. Demo opens a door onto a corridor where a radio broadcasts news of a terrible crime. Turn a corner, open a door, and wind up back where you started. Each time the corridor is the same, yet details are different: there are ghoulish sound effects, opening doors, glimpses of a strange woman, the sound of a crying baby.
This is Groundhog Day meets Eraserhead. The final puzzle is difficult to solve, but the mystery behind the demo is equally intriguing. P.T. Demo, which features Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus in the final reveal, is the work of Hideo Kojima, the game designer behind Metal Gear Solid. Kojima has teamed up with film director Guillermo Del Toro to reignite Silent Hill. The weirdest, scariest, most surreal game franchise yet, Silent Hill lost its way in recent years. If P.T. Demo is a sign of things to come, the nightmare could be returning. The demo is free on PlayStation Store. A new pair of pants are not included.
