Niamh Regan returns home to perform at Galway International Arts Festival
Galway-born Niamh Regan is to perform later this month at the Galway International Arts Festival with Patrick Stefan.
Galway-born Niamh Regan is performing at the Roisin Dubh on July 16th. This set will be part of the Galway International Arts Festival (GIAF) – which also includes performances from the likes of the Pixies, Orla Gartland, and The Flaming Lips.
The folk artist will be joined by Irish-Dutch artist Patrick Stefan and a full band.
“I’ve been going to the GIAF since as far back as I can remember," Regan says. "I feel so proud to be asked to play this year. It feels like a milestone as a Galway artist to join such an incredible array of artists from all over the world. I’m also very excited to have Patrick Stefan join us on the night too.”

The up-and-coming artist released her debut album, Hemet, in 2020 during the pandemic. Since then, she's used her background in flute, guitar from studies at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance to release three additional singles and another EP In the Meantime came out earlier this year.
Regan has also spent a lot of time traveling between Ireland and California. The singer-songwriter seamlessly combines traditional Irish lyricism with the gilded nostalgia of the California sun. Her music is the dreamy reflection of rain wandering down a window pane and waving goodbye to your family from the train.
The Galway International Arts Festival starts July 11th and runs until the 24th. Events include theater, opera, talks, music, and more.
Tickets for Regan's performance are on sale now and priced at €20.
