Netflix schedules premiere date for next season of The Crown
Check out the latest trailer for the upcoming season.
Netflix has announced that the new season of its hit historical drama The Crown will be available to stream at the end of this year on December 8. The first acclaimed season began the story of Queen Elizabeth II's reign, after the end of World War II. The new season kicks of in the middle of scandal, as the Queen has just lost her third Prime Minister and finds her armies entangled in an illegal war in Egypt.
The new season will once again be written by series creator Peter Morgan, expanding his already-impressive resume of historical drama including The Queen and Frost/Nixon. Director Stephen Daldry, best known for his work on Billy Elliot and The Hours returns to the helm.
Check out the trailer for the second season below.
