Matt Groening Netflix series, Disenchantment, given premiere date
The new adult animation comedy fantasy series, Disenchantment, will launch on Netflix later this year.
In Disenchantment, Simpsons creator Matt Groening will take you to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the medieval adventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci.
Along the way, the press release says, the oddball trio will encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of “human fools”
The series will feature the voice talents of Abbi Jacobson (“Bean”), Nat Faxon (“Elfo”) and Eric Andre (“Luci”), along with Matt Berry and Noel Fielding among others.
Animation is being done by Rough Draft Studios, who animate Futurama. Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein (The Simpsons, Futurama) are serving as executive producers.
You can expect the series to hit Netflix on August 17.
