John Michael McDonagh Returns With War On Everyone
Unfortunately Brendan Gleeson is a no-show in McDonagh's latest feature.
From the creator of The Guard and Calvary comes buddy-cop dark comedy War On Everyone.
McDonagh has departed from Irish shores for this venture as he brings his sharp wit to the US. Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Michael Peña (Ant-Man) join up as partners in crime- two corrupt cops roaming about Texas causing havoc until events turn sour when they come across a criminal more dangerous than themselves. With the buddy-cop chemistry caught on camera between Brendan Gleeson and Don Cheadle in 2011's The Guard, McDonagh is more than able to capture the magic between Skarsgard and Peña. War On Everyone opened at the 2016 SXSW Festival to plenty of adoration from audiences and critics alike.
McDonagh's War On Everyone opens here on September 30.
