The Simpsons writer Kevin Curran dies aged 59
The comedy writer and producer spent 15 years working on The Simpsons and won three Emmy's for his work on this cartoon.
During his career Curran was on the writing team of Late Night with David Letterman in the 1980's for which he also won three Emmy's.
In 2001, he joined The Simpsons and in recent years had been Co-Executive Producer. With this show, in 2010, Curran was nominated for a Humanitas Award for his episode "The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed".
Curran also wrote for Married ... With Children, a US sitcom featuring the fictional dysfunctional family, The Bundys, for which he served as the uncredited voice of Buck the Dog.
Kevin Curran passed away in Los Angeles yesterday, October 25 of complications from cancer. He is survived by a son and a daughter that he had with his former partner, author Helen Fielding, creator of Bridget Jones.
