International Literature Festival Dublin announce event with climate activist Naomi Klein
Naomi Klein will discuss climate change and her new book 'On Fire'.
Climate change is currently the topic everyone is talking about - rightfully so. The International Literature Festival Dublin now reacted to that by announcing an Off The Page event with climate activist Naomi Klein.
The author is going to join academic Lorna Gold in conversation on Friday, October 18 at 7.30pm at the National Stadium. They will discuss Klein's timely new book On Fire: The Burning Case For A Green New Deal.
On Fire is set to release on September 17 and has been described as "an essential anthology of writing from one of the most prescient voices of her generation". The book is a rousing call to action for a planet and its people on the brink.
Klein was previously hailed by the 16 year old climate activist Greta Thunberg who spoke out about her admiration for the writer: "Naomi Klein's work has always moved and guided me. She is the great chronicler of our age of climate emergency, an inspirer of generations".
Tickets for the event can be purchased for €12-€35 at ilfdublin.com.
