Healthy Irish Contingent Amongst Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominees
Downton Abbey’s Allen Leech led the field with two nominations for being part of the cast of the beloved television series and the British film ‘The Imitation Game’. Fellow Downton star Brendan Coyle has also been nominated as part of the cast performance award.
The Game Of Thrones nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in Ensemble Drama means Liam Cunningham, Jack Gleeson, Ian McElhinney and Aiden Gillen are also in the running.
The Irish nominations also include Saoirse Ronan whose role in ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ make her a contender for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture
