GREAT IRISH THINGS TO EAT: Slane Castle opens new Airstream food truck
Savour both the food and the stunning views of the legendary concert venue
While Lord Henry & Co. impatiently wait to reopen their distillery to the public and perhaps sneak in a celebration of it being forty years since they started running gigs on the estate, Slane Castle has polished up it gleaming silver Airstream food truck, which will be parked up and open to all every Thursday through Sunday from 10am-4pm.
You’re welcome to stay for as long as you want during those hours to savour the food and the surroundings.
Furry friends on a lead are also invited, and will doubtless try cadging one of Slane’s legendary sausage rolls off you.
We got to try some of their other nibbles when we were down by the Boyne for their Thumper and Damien Dempsey St. Patrick’s Day special – see below – and they were all delish.
