Frank Ocean celebrates 10th anniversary of Channel Orange with 2 new tracks
The 'Cayendo' singer teased fans with self-produced instrumentals running under both new episodes of Blonded Radio.
Frank Ocean previewed two previously unreleased tracks during the latest edition of his Blonded Radio shows this weekend.
Episodes 012 and 013 of the artist's Apple Music 1 series aired on July 10 which coincided with the tenth anniversary of the Californian artist's debut studio album, Channel Orange.
The first of two episodes, titled 'Blonded Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', featured included an interview with psychologist and writer Dr.James Fadiman. The two discussed the culturally current themes of microdosing and psychedelics. The episode was soundtracked by a 35-minute instrumental score produced by the musician.
Episode two, titled 'Blonded ENERGY!', listeners were treated to a discussion between Ocean and Master Mingtong Gu. The audience learned about self-realisation and the ancient practice of Qi Gong. This edition also featured an Ocean-produced score.
To further celebrate the Channel Orange landmark anniversary, the American musician launched a new orange poster as well as some Blonded Radio branded T-shirts.
The 'Chanel' singer has yet to follow up on his 2016 album Blonde, leaving fans desperate for a hint of new music from the artist, despite the release of multiple standalone singles in the interim. The artist has previously used Blonded Radio to debut new work - previewing a nine minute track during the show last December.
Ocean is rumoured to top the bill at Coachella 2023, after his headline set at Coachella 2020 never coming to fruition.
It was also recently reported that distributors A24 and 2AM are in talks to fulfil Frank Ocean's wish of writing and directing his own feature film.
