Dublin International Film Fest Announces Addition Of More Films
A Girl From Mogadishu, Ben Is Back and The Wedding Guest have been added to the festival.
The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival has added a few more films to its schedule, most notably including the premiere of A Girl From Mogadishu.
In addition to A Girl From Mogadishu, the festival has also added Ben Is Back and The Wedding Guest. Dublin International Film Festival boasts a packed programme featuring over 125 events across 12 days including the finest local and international feature films, short films and documentaries. The events will take place from February 20 until March 3.
With the announcement of the world premiere of A Girl From Mogadishu, the festival is marking the United Nations International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting. The film is based on the testimony of Ifrah Ahmed and her powerful journey as a refugee from Somalia who emerges as one of the world’s foremost activists for the eradication of FGM/C.
Also announced is the film Ben Is Back, which stars Julia Roberts (Homecoming) and Lucas Hedges (Boy Erased), and deals with the difficult issue of drug addiction. Lastly, the thriller The Wedding Guest stars Dev Patel (Lion) as a mysterious British Muslim man on his journey across Pakistan and India, and is the latest film from English director Michael Winterbottom (A Summer in Genoa).
