Billie Eilish is bringing climate-focused event ‘Overheated’ to London arena
The six-day event coincides with the London dates of Billie Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever' world tour.
Pop singer Billie Eilish has announced details of 'Overheated', a six day climate change awareness event to take place in London next month. The dates will coincide with the UK portion of her 'Happier Than Ever' world tour. All profits from ticket sales will be donated to the organisations Support + Feed and REVERB.
The event will take place June 10-12, 16 and 25-26. 'Overheated' will bring together climate activists, musicians, and designers to discuss the climate crisis and ongoing efforts for its mitigation.
Eilish and brother/collaborator Finneas will introduce the event at the O2 Arena on June 10, with a keynote speaker set to be confirmed.
Topics such as developing green practices in the music industry, the benefits of a plant-based diet, and sustainable fashion are set to be explored during daily panel discussions. There will also be live performers including Sigrid and Love Ssega on June 16th. Each day, the documentary Overheated which features Eilish alongside Vivienne Westwood, Girl in Red, Emily Eavis, and others will be screened.
Eilish, a vegan, has made numerous public statements calling for action against climate change. During the COP26 climate summit in November, she called on world leaders to “stand together and speak up for our planet, not just for us, but for our future generations."
Pre-sale tickets will go on sale tomorrow, May 4th at 9am. General sale will follow on Friday, May 6th. Click here to find tickets.
