The RTÉ Concert Orchestra has announced special guests for Thin Lizzy Orchestrated on Saturday, August 27th, with Irish musicians Jess Kav, Tom Dunne, Shobsy, Jack O’Rourke, Mundy, and Wallis Bird enlisted to perform a slate of the iconic band's tracks.

Hot Press are giving away a pair of tickets to the highly anticipated occasion, which is sure to be a night to remember with conductor Stephen Bell and a world class orchestra. Expect to hear your favourites from the Thin Lizzy back catalogue from ‘The Boys are Back in Town’, ‘Whiskey in the Jar’ and ‘Old Town’.

Thin Lizzy is one of the most recognisable names in music worldwide with 12 studio albums and 12 live albums under their belt. Paving the way for Irish rock 'n' roll music and heavily influenced many contemporary artists; their music reflects blues, soul music and occasionally metal.

“The RTÉ Concert Orchestra have been dreaming about creating a symphonic version of Phil Lynott and Thin Lizzy's music for over a decade now and have worked closely with the estate and arranger John Metcalfe (Peter Gabriel and U2) for over a year to make this project happen, it's a great honour to be involved," National Museum Of Ireland general manager Joe Csibi said of the event.
