We've also side-orders of Hayley Bonar, Gucci Mane, Jack White & The Radio Dept.
Lazy? Us? How dare you! Due to other pressing rock ‘n’ roll commitments, Free Music Friday has for one week only become Free Music Monday. What remains the same is the quality array of downloads, streams, vids and trailers we’ve gleefully assembled on your behalf. So, make yourself a hot beverage, sit back and enjoy….
If you didn’t make it to the Desert Trip, fear not, because there’s a ton of fan footage of the Californian blowout to savour including a seriously incendiary set from the Rolling Stones. Also performing – and smiling! – over the weekend was Bob Dylan who sounded more like his old self than he has done for quite a while. “I want to thank Bob Dylan for an amazing set,” Mick Jagger told the sell-out 75,000 crowd. “We have never shared the stage with a Nobel Prize winner before. Bob is like our own Walt Whitman.” A grinning Keith Richards added: “Congratulations to Mr. Dylan for all of his work. I can’t think of anybody else who deserves it better.”

We Cut Corners make us seriously eager for November 4’s The Cadence Of Others album with the video for teaser track ‘Oh’, which includes some of their closest and most addictive harmonies yet.
To celebrate his early release from prison – we don’t get to write that very often! – Gucci Mane has gifted fans Woptober, an album which the Atlanta spitter reckons is his hardest hitting yet.

Brooklynite Aoife O’Donovan – there has to be Irish blood! – is gifting us her Selections From Man In A Neon Coat: Live From Cambridge album. A blast of fresh Americana air, we’d love to see her live!
The guitars are a little louder, but the spirit much the same on the Welcome To New York: The Outlaw Roadshow sampler featuring such travelling Bostonian acts as Matt York, Kim Logan, Julie Rhodes, Brandy Zdan, Kirby Brown and The Rationales. We’ll eat our metaphorical hats if one of them doesn’t make a commercial breakthrough in the near future.
Also new and notable from Noise Trade are a three-track introduction to ELEL, a Nashville combo who make a joyous Beach House meets Arcade Fire noise.

To the streams now and we’re loving the latest from Tanya Tagaq, which marries modern pop to Intuk throat singing. You really won’t hear anything quite like it…
NPR also want you to hear The Radio Dept.’s latest synth-pop confection and Weyes Blood’s emotionally charged chamber pop.
Fans of Latino-flavoured hip hop are going to love RDGLDGRN who are guaranteed to put a massive smile on your face. If any further mood enhancement is required cop eyes and earfuls of Haley Bonar whose ascent to superstardom is just a matter of time.

Having slipped through a tear in the space time continuum and ended up in a Los Angles garage circa 1965, Dutch trio Mooon treat us to a jangly delight that’s just crying out for a Pebbles or Nuggets compilation (Google it!)
Grateful Dead legend Bob Weir – if you haven’t seen the Netflix doc about him, rectify it! – put in a three-hour plus shift last night as he celebrated his 69th birthday in New York State with the brothers Devendorf from The National among those guesting.
Mixtape of the Week honours go to the Taylor Gang, a marijuana-loving collective who enlist the help of such A-Listers as Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign and Juicy J.

Jack White’s country infatuation gathers apace with a guest appearance alongside Margo Price on the long-running A Prairie Home Companion. For a Detroit boy he’s sure got a southern sensibility!
Our RetroVid of the week, naturally, is Bob Dylan with this iconic and much imitated clip for ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’. Five decades on and it’s lost none of its allure.
And that is your Free Music Friday (On A Monday) lot for another week. As ever, your links should be sent with much gusto to @stuartclark66
