Speakers on the night will include Managing Director of Robert Walters, Louise Campbell, CEO of Enterprise Ireland, Julie Sinnamon, President of the Fianna Fáil Women’s Network, Niamh Smyth TD and Fianna Fáil Spokesperson for Equality, Fiona O’Loughlin TD.
Speaking ahead of the event Deputy Niamh Smyth said, “The Fianna Fáil Women’s Network was founded to strengthen gender equality by empowering women to challenge the status quo.
"While progress is continuing and often challenging, International Women’s Day gives us an opportunity to celebrate how far we have come in our work to promote ambition and success."
She added: “We are particularly honoured that Louise Campbell and Julie Sinnamon will address our seminar and discuss more broadly, the promotion of gender equality in all areas of society.
"Both of these women have risen to the top of their respective fields in recruitment and business.
“Louise’s insight and involvement in the “Empowering Women in the Workplace” program encourages employers and businesses to forge strategies and policies that ensure gender diversity in the workplace, while Julie’s role as CEO of Enterprise Ireland brings together 30 years of experience in business and investments.
Spokesperson for Equality, Fiona O'Loughlin TD concluded, “The event will be an opportunity for party members and elected representatives to discuss the challenges still encountered in the workplace and wider society but more importantly to celebrate the achievements of women across industries."
The “Press for Progress” event will take place in Fianna Fáil Headquarters on 7 March at 6:30pm.
