Pixar's Boss Quits Over Inappropriate Behaviour Claims

When the complaints first came to light last November, John Lasseter offered an apology.
He said at the time that he apologised to "anyone who has ever been on the receiving end of an unwanted hug or any other gesture they felt crossed the line".
In an internal memo, he also accepted that he'd made staff feel "disrespected or uncomfortable" with his inappropriate behaviour.
The Hollywood Report quoted a longtime Pixar employee claiming that John Lasseter has was known for "grabbing, kissing, making comments about physical attributes". These claims were never publicly denied.
Feeling the pressure, John Lasseter has now announced that he's resigning from his gig.
"The last six months have provided an opportunity to reflect on my life, career and personal priorities,” he said in a statement released by Disney.
“While I remain dedicated to the art of animation and inspired by the creative talent at Pixar and Disney, I have decided the end of this year is the right time to begin focusing on new creative challenges.”
