Watch: Randy Newman performs 'Putin' on Late Night with Stephen Colbert
Shirtless photos of the Russian leader are shown behind him as he plays.
Randy Newman has always had a penchant for satire but now it seems he's directed his ire at one of the most powerful men in the world, Vladimir Putin.
The singer/songwriter's new track is a scathing assault on the propaganda machine that orbits the Russian premier. Last night he gave a pretty ballsy live performance on Stephen Colbert's late night talk show. As he plays and sings, images of the Putin, sometimes of the shirtless variety, are shown behind him.
