Imelda May returns to Ireland
The Dublin rockabilly singer is also shooting up the iTunes chart.
Hot on the heels of her recent Crawdaddy sell-out, Liberties rockabilly sensation Imelda May plays the Roisin Dubh, Galway (March 10) and The Button Factory, Dublin (12) to celebrate the re-release of her excellent Love Tattoo album. Tickets for the latter are €15.
Since being championed by Jools Holland, she’s also won the affections of Michael Parkinson, Pat Kenny and guitar legend Jeff Beck.
Currently at number three on the iTunes chart following her Late Late Show appearance on Friday (repeated tonight on RTÉ 1 at 12.05am) May also features prominently on the February 11 edition of Other Voices.
