May festival in Charleville Castle
2009's Shakefest and Peace Concert will take place on Saturday 30 May in Charleville Castle, Tullamore, Co Offaly.
This will be the fourth year of the festival which is run in aid of Gach Duine’s development scheme in the Bale Region of Ethiopia. Tickets will cost €40.
The festival's Shake Day for schools is scheduled for Friday May 29 as a curtain-raiser for the weekend. Bands, stalls and workshops will be announced in due course. ShakeFest 2009 will also include craft fairs, organic food markets and a selection of world music.

Shakefest 2008 featured performances by Leanne Harte, Lauren Guillery and Aon Fusion, plus more than 22 dance and culture workshops, including bellydancing, and market stalls with Indian and South American clothing.
